Sewing Camp: August Workshop

This two day camp will cover everything you need to know to start making your own wardrobe! In this workshop, we will be covering machine basics, terminology, how to select a machine to purchase, seam finishes, how to read and use a pattern, beginner sewing resources, and much more!

On Saturday, we will predominantly be working on learning the machines and how to use them by making scrunchies. We will work through educational information like how to operate a machine, sewing terminology, how to use a pattern, beginner resources, and more. We will spend the day Sunday making a pair of wide leg elastic waist trousers/shorts, which ranges in size from 0-34 (24 inch waist to 54 inch waist).
This workshop will be at Birdette's, a new art studio concept in Tampa Heights. While we'll have water and snacks provided, we highly encourage purchasing snacks and drinks from Birdette's to help support their newly opened business. Their drink and snack menu is inclusive of dairy free, gluten free, allergen friendly and vegan folks.
After purchase confirmation, I will be reaching out to each student to request sizing information and fabric color preference, as I will be doing all the prep work before the workshop to ensure we can get the most out of the time we're spending together.
